Listening comes before lighting

Hi! I'm Andy, and welcome to yet another cinematography portfolio website. Luckily, you've found your cinematographer, so you can close the other twelve tabs. I could show you a bunch of beautiful images and tell you all about my collaborative spirit but we have fifteen minutes before we lose the light. Here's the short version: I believe listening comes before lighting. I like building the kind of room where people feel comfortable enough to throw out ideas before they're fully formed, because the best ideas are almost never born in isolation—they're built together.
